Well, to be honest it's gone nowhere. Google fee keeps saying they're going to honor my trade in and my promotional package.

However my account does not say so. They keep attempting to take more money out of my account for the rest of the phone but still no rebate no...

Original review Sep 30, 2022
What's happened is for the past 2 months I've been dealing with Google FI with a phone that I got with a rebate and credit phone credit. However, the phone was defective, for 2 weeks I couldn't activate it.

They still charge me for 2 weeks worth of service that I could not use. Essentially, they're forcing me to keep a phone that I asked for refund on.

They just sent it back. Don't switch your service be with your company that you're presently with they're not perfect, but they're also not Google FI.

Same happened to me. My contract is up this month and I'm going to a prepaid company. Two years not one late payments, maybe they'll be happy with trash,

Resolved: Resolving issues with wireless account.

Company fixed the issue and I have been provided with apology.

Original review Feb 16, 2024
I changed carriers and cancelled my wireless account. Only to see a charge that is not even associated with my account because it was cancelled.

I have made 2 attempts to try to get this resolved through customer service. Their response is, "we don't have access to that account you will need to talk to your bank and the second phone call was I don't see anything on your account." I have a statement coming to my gmail business account and a debit from my bank account for $94.21 for Google Fi. But they can't see anything or help me get this resolved. Fraud.

Google Fi is one big mistake. I read about a previous client used the term held hostage and this is the way I am feeling with this service. Not only do they make it difficult to activate your phone, transfer service, but they hold you hostage by having their customer service that cannot help you, help you. What good is customer service if they cannot help with billing issues or account issues?

I would not recommend this wireless company to anyone because you will never be satisfied with their lack of customer service or help when you have a problem. Sad.

Dishonest and refuse to solve the issue

Google Fi - Dishonest and refuse to solve the issue
Google Fi - Dishonest and refuse to solve the issue - Image 2
I was on the phone for 1 1/2 hours with Google Fi Support rep: Kenn and 30 min chat box with Chandana. They avoided solving the issue, sending me a proof I requested repeatedly, and they repeated their comment many times. I asked them to send me a proof I have to pay $49.99 when I ordered for a Moto G for free in Aug 2023. Kenn emailed me with his typed msg I had to pay $49.99 not a screenshot of invoice of zero total from Aug '23. Kenn hung up on me after I asked for screenshot for proof.

I've had that service for 9 months first 8 months was no problem service is great from work bill was what it was supposed to be and those first eight months my average data use was about 45 to 55 GB a month but I paid for the 50 gig unlimited data plan last month unknowingly through the app on my phone I supposedly opted in to pay $10 per gigabyte for high speed data after my 50 gig was used up they tell me that it could only be done from my phone coincidentally at the same time my daddy used on my phone almost doubled and I was charged $10 a gig for 37.23 GB of data $370 did not even know these charges were happening until my bill came they refuse to help said that I had to pay it there was nothing they could do they wouldn't reverse the Chargers. That was it I tried reasoning with them I tried to have them compare the last 8 months of service to this one I have not used my phone any different than the first eight months in fact I probably used it less and yet my dad a doubles and my phone bill goes from $95 a month to $417 the crooks greeny thieves I talk to you two reps on the phone one which hung up on me when I was getting a little frustrated and online chat with three reps all said they didn't have the ability to do anything about my bill that they couldn't change it I requested to speak to a higher up they said they couldn't give me the higher up contact info for security reasons what then ask where they lived these people are working from home and are not trained they can handle simple little problems that may come up but when an issue like this comes up they don't know what to do and they will not go above and beyond to their higher-ups since they won't let me to ask what they could do they just simply said they weren't authorized to do anything long story short $460 bill and I'm going to review every page I can find catch the newspapers here Channel 2 News here in Utah they're interested in my story they have a little investigation side on the news that investigate companies that do this kind of stuff so I'm just going to keep going hopefully that you either change the way they do their business or people will see that they do for business and they'll just go out of business thanks for meeting

Stolen phone

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I traded in a Samsung Galaxy Z4 to receive a $999.99 credit to which I only received a $160 credit after being emailed that the device was mailed back for damage. There is no detailed pictures or information regarding the damages and it seems like this is just a disingenuous means of getting customers to offer their equipment over to receive less than market values, so that equipment can be resold for greater profit.

I don't want a $160 credit for my $999.99 device. I want my device as initially promised. If there is damage, which may have occurred during its time at Google, I paid for a protection plan that will cover its repair.

Please either send me my phone or provide me a full $999.99 credit.

I've contacted Google Fi Support several times, to have them explain they have the right to do what they want and hang up. No supervisor or higher level support available.

I'm giving this company a one-star review mainly because I couldn't even get past the trial process and get the actual product working not only that one customer service is called they did nothing but decide to argue about how their policies go about even though we were reading the policies right in front of them and they decided to discriminate against somebody for their learning disabilities and laughed at them and then when they were asked for their name or their supervisor they decided not to give those things and it was extremely unprofessional and I would give anybody a warning to go ahead and make a cell phone out of aluminum foil in hopes and dreams because you're going to get better reception than this particular product.

Refusal to refund unused device protection charges on deactivated phones

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Replaced Pixel 3 and 4a phones that had device protection insurance on them with Pixel 6a and 7 phones that did not over a year ago. I expected device protection to be cancelled automatically when this occured, but recently noticed this never happened. I contacted Google Fi about this and they explained to me how to cancel device protection manually myself. I requested they credit my account for the unused device protection charges accrued during the past year and they refused to do this. One of the devices was even returned to Google Fi as a trade in for the Pixel 7.

Resolved: Your phone number has changed crap!

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I got a notification, Your new number is ready!.

I panicked and thought ok sim swap attack. Well no,.

the "system" according to them screw up... hours later, they told me that somebody is working on it and that it can take a while to get it back...

WTF!!! I wonder how many customers has the same issue at the same time as me...I received a notification stating that my new number was ready, which caused me to panic and suspect a sim swap attack. However, the company informed me that it was a system error and that someone was working on it, but it could take some time to resolve.

I couldn't believe it! I wonder how many other customers were affected by this issue at the same time as me. It's worth noting that I had the same number for 22 years. By the way, I had the number for 22 years.

To clarify..

Google decided to change my number because... which is by the way on the terms and conditions, but only if they notify you in advance.

WTF!

Please DO NOT join Fi. I received a defective S23+ and when I contacted customer care, they sent in a replacement device - a refurbished device. When I reached out to them, all they say is - we only send a refurbished device as a "replacement" I paid full price to get a refurbished? And they just keep repeating the same when I explained the situation. All of this under 30 days of service!!!B
